2XC Round 5 – Haldon Forest

Once again we headed up to Haldon to show our support of the 2XC race series, offering those last minute vital tune ups for riders about to race. Along with the usual team riders Tom and Max, myself (Greg) and Phil decided to give it a go. The course was very much all the way up then all the way down, with a few fireroads for passing. It was a tough race as if you were caught behind someone on the downs it was near impossible to pass, so making the effort on the open sections was vital. Tom rode a great race to 5th overall on his Specialized Camber Comp Carbon 29 and we won’t talk about what happened to the rest of us! Round 6 of the 2XC series is this Sunday at the Totnes show, again we are building the course this year which will be much better than last years, we hope to see you there.
